Ready to get started?
We offer a free 15 minute virtual consultation appointment – your time to meet us and ask questions.
How many treatments will I need to have?
Our goal is to help you feel better and excited about the process as soon as possible. Each individual’s situation is different, and many factors may influence how quickly you see results.
Acupuncture starts working right away, as well as most of the other suggestions we make including stress management and self care strategies. Generally speaking: acute conditions need fewer treatments, while long standing or chronic conditions may require longer treatment plans.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Our acupuncture protocols include minimal needling with gentle technique. Most clients do not feel any discomfort and find the treatments extremely relaxing and effective.
I'm already working with a Fertility Clinic - can you still help?
Yes, our therapies work to support you at any stage of conventioanl fertility treatment. Whether you are just starting to work with your doctor, or are doing a medicated cycle, IUI or IVF.
Can I still take my medication?
Yes, any of our treatment modalities are meant to support you safely, including any prescription medication you are taking. We are not “anti-medication”, and will work with you to safely get the results you are looking for.
Where do the needles go?
Acupuncture needles may be applied at various points on the body – it depends on the overall goal of each treatment. There may be needles placed in various areas of the body, including hands and feet, face, head (including ears), back or torso – but we aim to keep the number to a minimum. If your reason for coming in is for a pelvic or pubic pain issue – rest assured we do not needle directly in this area to get pain relief results.
Is Acupuncture covered by my insurance?
At this time Acupuncture by a Registered Acupuncturist is not covered by OHIP, but is covered by many private health care plans. We offer a direct billing option to your insurance but also provide a receipt so that you can make a claim yourself. In Ontario, treatments by an R.Ac can also be claimed as a medical expense on your income tax.
Check with your provider to see if Acupuncture by a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) is covered in your extended health care plan. If it is not and you would like it to be – inquire with your employer about having it added. Most plans are based on consumer demand, so if more consumers as for coverage this can make a difference as to what will be included in benefit packages.
